Nel 1993, nel pieno della mia carriera da dj, decisi di iscrivermi al Festival di Castrocaro con un brano scritto e prodotto da me. Il testo arrivò di getto, un’urgenza espressiva arrivata dopo l’ennesima delusione sentimentale. L’arrangiamento fu ispirato dalla prima ballad rap della storia: I Need Love di LL Cool J. Acquistai una Roland 808, scrissi la linea ritmica e mi presentai a Castrocaro senza produttore, etichetta e ufficio stampa. Passai le fasi eliminatorie e approdai alla semifinale. In questi anni ho attraversato la musica in ogni sua forma senza nessuna preclusione. Mi definisco un eclettico affascinato da tutto ciò che accade. Suono, canto, produco. Il palcoscenico è la mia casa. Oggi, dopo trent’anni, ho deciso di rimettere mano a quel brano che tanto ho nel cuore e pubblicarlo. Ho lavorato alla nuova stesura con un gruppo di lavoro capitanato da Daniele “Bengi” Benati (Ridillo) dando vita a un prodotto che voglio definire “Old Skool Flava, New Skool Punch”. Il pezzo si intitola “Dimmi Come Devo Fare” e sarà disponibile in tutti gli store digitali dal 30 Gennaio 2023.
In 1993 in the midst of my career as a dj, i decided to enter the Castrocaro Festival with a music track which i personally wrote and produced. Lyrics were created right away, as if they were like an expressive urgency due to a further love failure. The musical arrangement was inspired by the first rap ballad I need Love by LL Cool J. I bought a 808 Roland, i wrote down the rhythmic line and showed up at Castrocaro Festival without any producer, any music label or press office. I passed the qualifiers and then the semifinal. I’ve travelled through different music styles and genres without boundaries. I think i am a versatile musician and i am fascinated by everything that revolves around me. I play the guitar, i sing and i produce my music tracks. The stage is my home. After thirty years, i’ve decided to review and release an old music track i am very fond of. I’ve worked to the new musical version with a team headed by Daniele “Bengi” Benati (Ridillo) giving birth to an item i would call “Old Skool Flava, New Skool Punch”. The music track is called “Dimmi Come Devo Fare” and will be available in all the digital stores from 30 January 2023.
